Jindrich Halabala (1903 - 1978) is one of the most prominent Czech furniture designers. Between 1930 and 1946 he worked as head designer for UP manufacturing company in Brno. In 1931, Halabala introduced a series of five wooden armchairs, all with the same streamlined, looped armrests and base but with five different types of seats and backrests.
